FESPA Printeriors 2019-2022.

Several sets of images designed to showcase digital printing in various forms — direct to garment, wallpaper, upholstery fabrics and many more applications at the FESPA annual trade exhibition.
The images below were produced in different iterations: full single ‘poster’ images and then using elements to form repeat patterns for use on fabrics and wallpaper.

The original source imagery of flora comes from photography taken in the wild, in tropical greenhouses as well as plants and flowers shot in the studio. Occasionally supplementary images are from stock libraries where needed. These were then cut out, recoloured, composited with other elements to create different moods and colour ways.

Alien

This early series for Printeriors was based upon the elements Earth, Air Fire Water and Wood.

Each set called for a mixture of photographic and more graphic elements to provide a kind of ‘printing assault course’ to demonstrate what was achievable with a series of machines and processes.

Minerals were photographed from the London Museum of Natural History collection and their textures used to create graphic elements. A hexagon shape was used to create uniformity over the sets.
